to put bread on the table: to earn money

Why do we associate money with out basic needs?

What I mean by basic needs is, the needs for survival. Our body and brain is already programmed to take care of only one thing, that is, survival. Still we have added one extra point on how to survive.

If you think we really need money for food and shelter, then just think once again. Is there any other living beings, other than human, who needs to earn money for their food or shelter? I think none.

All others just get there food without money. But, human beings has to take the extra step to first earn money then get food. Don’t you think we might be missing something. I mean, why do we need this extra step?

This is because we have been programmed in that way since our birth. We have seen, heard felt that with money we can get everything. But why are we programmed in such way?

Even I don’t know. :)

We need money only for the luxury, demanded by our desires. Most of them are always scared, if they don’t work they won’t make money and they won’t have food to eat or rent to pay for their shelter.

What I feel is, this fear has always enslaved us and kept us away from doing what we love, what would give us joy, what won’t make us watch the clock.

Money is obviously needed for the materials, but not for the basic needs and hence we should not have the fear. And once the fear is gone, you will see how free you will feel, how less burdened you will be, you will be joyful of every small things in life, you will enjoy them, you will then flourish in your life.

I hope this gives a different perspective on how we see money. :)
